Cheras started the way most good things do, quietly, and for herself.
I’m Jacque. For years I served as a nurse in Emergency, Theatres and the RAAF; the kind of career that looks certain from the outside, even when it doesn’t feel that way on the inside. Baking became the thing I turned to when I needed to come back to myself. No charts, no protocols. Just butter, sugar, and something real coming out of the oven.
Then one day I made a decision. I chose the thing that had always quietly chosen me.
Cheras (pronounced Shera) is named after my middle name, and it carries everything I want it to: warmth, care, and something worth sharing. Every cookie, every brownie is handmade right here in Wagga Wagga by me. I pack every order myself. I know what goes into every box.
I built this for women like me. The ones who deserve something made with intention, whether that’s a treat for yourself after a long week, a gift for someone you love, or a little something for the team that keeps showing up.
Because sometimes you deserve something thoughtful. Even if the gift is for you.
This isn’t a factory. It’s a kitchen, a dream, and a daughter watching her mum choose a life she wants.
